Joint CADDY Steering Group

The Joint EU Member States / ECPA Data Transfer Steering Group (DTSG) consisting of five experts of the EU and five experts of the ECPA registration task force was established in June 1995. In mid 1996 the US and Canadian authorities and industry joined the CADDY steering group. Representatives from the Pesticide Regulatory Management Agency of Canada (PMRA) and the Canadian industry and representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States and the American Crop Protection Association (ACPA) joined the group. More information can be found on CADDY History.

Meetings of the Joint CADDY Steering Group are held regularly, at least once a year.

Project Management Office (PMO)

In the CADDY organization, the responsibilities are clearly established. ECPA, whose member companies have initiated the project, is the focal point for CADDY customers. ECPA is responsible for the registration of new and existing users, and hosts the access to the e-mail helpdesk functionality. Within ECPA the Data Transfer Working Group (DTWG) is responsible for the day-to-day running of the project. DTWG works in close collaboration with the Joint CADDY Steering Group, the Regulatory Authorities within the European Union, and all other authorities that take an interest in CADDY developments.

The Consulting division from Hewlett Packard, who have guided the development of CADDY from its inception, runs the CADDY Project Management Office (PMO), under ECPA's guidance. Within that role, they are responsible for further software development, helpdesk response, and many other "behind-the-curtain" activities.

ECPA Electronic Submission Expert Group
